杨清和，原籍安徽省合肥市。1956年毕业于合肥二中高中部，当年以第一志愿考取南京大学地质学系。经五年专业学习后，进入河北大学地质地理系，天津师范大学地理系及安徽省地质科学研究所，从事古生物学、地质学、生物地层学、晚期前寒武纪地质学及泥炭矿产资源等的教学和研究，并有成果。主笔或参与执笔的研究成果，获全国科学大会奖（1978）、国家自然科学三等奖（1982）、省（部）级科技成果二等奖（1981）三等奖（1985,1995）四等奖（1991,1995）等七项。

    曾是安徽省地质科学研究所高级工程师、中国科技大学石油天然气研究中心客座研究员、中国煤炭学会泥炭专业委员会委员、中国古生物学会会员。

     Yang Qinghe, who was born in Hefei of Anhui Province, graduated from Hefei No. 2 High School in 1956，entered the Department of Geology of  Nanjing University on first aspixation.  After five Years’  study, he entered Department  of Geology and Geography in Hebei University, Department of Geography in Tianjin Normal University and Anhui Geology Science Research Institute in the following years, doing research and teaching program of paleontology, geology, biostratigraphy, geology of Late Precambrian and peat resource. The programs he hosted or joined in won the award of National Science Conference (1978), the third prize of National Nature Science (1982), the second prize (1981) the third prize (1985, 1995) the fourth prize (1991, 1995) of the Provincial or Ministerial Scientific Research Achievement .

He was the senior engineer of Anhui Institute of Geological Sciences, the visitor researchist of  Petroleum and Natural Gas Research Center in University of Science and Technology of China ,  the Member of Peat Commission of China Coal Society and the Member of  Paleontological Society of China.
